Caroline Juanita Daniel

Caroline Juanita Daniel, age 80, of Searcy, died Sunday, June 9, 2013 in Searcy. She was born October 4, 1932 in Montgomery, Alabama to John Nicholas Sullivan and Minnie Lou Stringer Sullivan. Juanita's passion was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as Nanny. A mother at heart, she and Floyd opened their home to many foster children who came to them through their work with the Childrens Home in Paragould, Arkansas. Her 62 years of marriage to Floyd proved true the words of Solomon that "two are better than one." She is survived by her husband, Floyd Daniel; two sons, Dan Daniel and wife Donna of Franklin, Tennessee, John Daniel of Franklin; one daughter, Nita Woodruff and husband Tony of Searcy; eight grandchildren, Bonnie Daniel of Franklin, Beau Daniel and wife Whitney of Nashville, Tennessee, Becky Daniel of Franklin, Brian Daniel and wife Lauren of Memphis, Tennessee, Tony Woodruff and wife Melissa of Scottsdale, Arizona, Daniel Woodruff and wife Jordan of Greensboro, North Carolina, Jonathan Woodruff of Knoxville, Tennessee, Susannah Daniel of Huntville, Alabama; one sister, Joanne Henderson of Demopolis, Alabama; and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Minnie Sullivan; and one grandson, Michael Daniel. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 until 3 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Afterwards there will be a private family gathering. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Childrens Homes of Paragould, Arkansas or His House outreach program of College Church of Christ.
