Billie Sue Felker, 82, of Jacksonville died Tuesday, June 11, 2013. She was born August 17, 1930 in Corinth, Mississippi to the late Elbert and Muriel Meadows Andrews and was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother and a loving grandmother. She made camping in a tent like staying in a five star hotel. She was a tireless horse show mom, softball cheerleader and no one will ever be able to match her cornbread hushpuppies and pinto beans. She was our seamstress, our nurse and our example of the art of homemaking as it used to be. She loved a good yard sale, a flea market, could spend hours in Sam's and really enjoyed eating at Olive Garden. She dearly loved her family and her neighbors, Carolyn and Sharon and will be greatly missed by all of us. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Felker was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Felker and brothers, James and Leon Andrews. Mrs. Felker is survived by her daughters, Alice Singleton (Jerry), Debbie Davenport, Mary Felker and Sandra Hambrick (Steven); grandchildren, David Hicks, Jon Singleton, Felicia Cash, Amy Old, Phillip Hambrick, Will Hambrick and Owen Hambrick; great-grandchildren, Chasey Singleton, Caleb Cash, Thomas Old, Olivia Old, Laney Hambrick and Rylee Hambrick as well as her siblings, Charles Andrews, Wayne Andrews, Larry Andrews, Diana Essary, Jeannett Anderson, Bernice Latch, Elenor Donald and Mary Lois Cooke. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Second Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Walter officiating with entombment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park under the direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home and Crematory (501) 982-2136. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Please sign the online guestbook at www.mooresjacksonvillefuneralhome.com.
