Harold R. Zook, 86, of Little Rock, passed away June 17, 2013. Preceded in death by his wife, Florence and daughter, Teni Jo. He is survived by his sons, Harold R. Zook III of Little Elm, Texas and Robert Zook of Little Rock; daughters, Sharron Zook of Bay City, Texas and Carol Ann Edwards of McKinney, Texas; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harold was born, educated, worked and retired in the city of Little Rock. His career spanned 47 years in the field of criminal justice, employed by the City of Little Rock, the State of Arkansas and the U.S. Government and was a former member of national and international organizations. Harold served on active duty in the U.S. Navy during World War II, the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, and the U.S. Army during the Berlin Crisis. He touched many lives and was a friend to many people. Visitation will be open today, Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Graveside services with Military Honors will be Thursday, June 20 at 12 noon at Little Rock National Cemetery, officiated by Dr. Bob Dunaway. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Florence C. Zook, R.N. Nursing Scholarship, UAMS College of Nursing, 4301 W. Markham St., Little Rock, Ark. 72205.
