Betty Ruth Brown age 77 of Scott, Ark., was born to Lela Waller Bailey and William Bailey in Hoxie, Ark. on August 10, 1935. After a courageous battle with cancer, she has gone home to meet the Lord. Heaven gained an angel and earth lost a beautiful soul. Betty, affectionately known as Kiki, was loved by her family, friends and by everyone she came into contact with. She always had a smile and a friendly word for everyone. Above all else, she loved her family. She was happiest when her family was all gathered together, usually sharing one of her delicious meals. She loved to go shopping, feed the birds, tending her flowers, sewing, needlework, but most of all, just being with her husband and family. The family appreciates the wonderful staff at Hospice Home Care Inpatient Center that took care of "Ms. Betty" like she was family. She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Milford Brown, to whom she was truly devoted; daughter, Barbara Hastings (Joe Lyle) and son, Bill Brown (Pat); six grandchildren, Paul Hastings Jr., Michael Brown, Pam Messenger (Justin), Paula Hastings, Teresa Keathley, and Leesa Watkins (John); five great-grandchildren, Marissa and Madelyn Brown, Collier, Slater and Walker Watkins, a dear niece, Jamie Brown, and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Ark. on Saturday, June 22 at 11 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m. Services will be officiated by Brother Charles Martin.
