Mitchell Starkey

Mitchell Starkey, age 62, of North Little Rock, passed away June 22,2013, at Arkansas Hospice in Little Rock. He was born on December 4, 1950, in Harrison, the son of Dempsey and Robbie (Stewart) Starkey. Mitchell was 1968 graduate of Valley Springs high school and attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He received the Eagle Scout Award in 1967 from the Boy Scouts of America. He worked for Binswanger Glass Co. for many years and currently was part owner of The Vacuum Shop and Pine Bluff Shipping in Pine Bluff, Arkansas where he worked for almost 20 years. Mitchell is survived by his mother Robbie Starkey; a sister and brother-in-law, Danni and Mike Tucker; a nephew Scott Tucker and wife Staci; a niece Courtney Tucker; two great nephews, Brandt Tucker and Heath Tucker; extended family and best friend Curtis Pettit along with many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Dempsey Starkey. A private memorial service was held Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home. Mitchell will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
