Margaret L. Dick

Margaret L. Dick, 89, of Hot Springs, died Friday, June 28, 2013 at home with her family. She was born Jan. 13, 1924, in Kentucky. In 1945, Margaret met Roy Dick and they recognized they were soul mates at a local picnic gathering. They shared their love for family and God for 59 years. They were united in Holy Matrimony on May 27, 1954 in Hot Springs. Her life and character can be expressed in the Gospel of John 3:16. She was a member of Cones Road Missionary Baptist Church. Margaret was an avid reader and loved talking with God. She also loved with a passion bowling, sewing, beadwork, knitting, and embroidery. She is predeceased by her parents, James and Oneida Crawford; her sister, Mable Bernice Crawford; and her brother, James W. Crawford. She leaves behind her loving husband, Roy Dick; two daughters, Carol and her husband Jerry, Linda and her husband Randy; and two sons, Donald and his wife Terri and Lee Roy and his wife Johnnie. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Randy Benton Jr, Perry Stout, Michael Estright Jr, Jeffrey Estright, J.C. Harister and Brent Harister. Honorary pallbearers are Zachery Estright, Dick Swagger, Rod Harister, and Cones Road Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Gross Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Cones Road Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor David Roark officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery.
