Nancy Ann Barclay Beavers

Nancy Ann Barclay Beavers, 56, Lincoln, Ark., passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013 in Cox Medical Center South Springfield. She was born on July 28, 1956 in Springfield, to William E. "Bill" Barclay Sr. and Nancy Petty Barclay. Nancy worked at Beaver's Dental Clinic in Lincoln, where she served as the office manager, credit manager, public relations director, manager of the Dentist, and was a full time Dental Hygienist. She was a friend and counselor to all her patients. During Nancy's life, she made many friends along the way, and those friendships continued throughout her illness. Anything said about Nancy's five and a half year battle with Ovarian Cancer would be an understatement. She was preceded in death by her mother. Nancy is survived by her husband, Dr. Daniel J. Beavers, Lincoln, Ark.; father, Bill Barclay, Springfield; sister, Becky Carnathan (Gere) and their son, Dr. Turner Sibley; brother William E. "Butch" Barclay Jr. (Kelli) and their children, Austin P. and Lindsay Barclay; and step-brother Charles A. Rose (Abbi) and their children, Chaz and Chance Rose. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Al Bonebrake, Kristen Heydt and staff, as well as Chelsea, Annie and all the 9 West staff at Cox South. Nancy Ann will be sorely missed. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Hazelwood Cemetery with the Reverend Billy Wear officiating, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. No visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gynca Ovarian Cancer Alliance, Springfield Chapter, 3023 S Fort, Suite B, Springfield, Mo. 65807.
