Carroll French, 96, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away peacefully in the VA hospital on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. He was born February 5, 1917 in Van Buren County, Arkansas. Carroll was married in 1940 to Nadean Emily Quinn and they had one daughter Ann. In 1943, Carroll joined the Army and was quickly sent off to fight in World War II. In 1945, Carroll left the Army and decided to further his education so he enrolled in Little Rock Junior College where he earned a degree in business. This degree became very useful when he decided to start working for Keebler Cookie Company. Along with all of his accomplishments, his proudest was that he was a faithful member of Martindale Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. Carroll was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nadean Emily French.He is survived by his daughter, Ann Dumas, and her husband, David Dumas of Little Rock; grandchildren, Carol Kocsis, Quinn Woolsey, Gene Smith and Angie Smith; great-grandchildren, Heath Kocsis, Melody Maxey, Hattie Smith, Blake Smith, Sarah Woolsey, David Woolsey; great-great-grandchildren, Eliza Woolsey, Isabelle Woolsey, David (Buddy) Woolsey, Kaylee Saling, Parker Kocsis and Lorelei Maxey. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501) 224-8300. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. at 10 a.m. followed by a burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
