Durward Belmont Morgan Jr., 87, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 28th, 2013. He was born in England, Arkansas on November 19th, 1925 to Durward Belmont "Jack" Morgan Sr. and Hannah Holdridge Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley Morgan; a son: D. B. "Jackie" Morgan III; and a brother: T.D. Morgan. He is survived by one daughter: Jill Tausch and her husband Chip of England, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Morgan Phillips, Nicole Duck, and Wes Phillips all of England; five great-grandchildren; one sister: Marilyn Morgan; also several nieces and nephews and extended family. Jack was a graduate of England High School and of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He was past owner of Morgan Lumber Company and Past President of Jack Morgan Construction Company; Chairman of the Board of Jack Morgan Construction Company; Chairman of the Arkansas State Building Services Council. He was a member of Council for 22 years; Past President of Associated General Contractors of Arkansas; Past Board Member of State Chamber of Commerce; Past President of England Chamber of Commerce; Past Chairman of the Board of England First United Methodist Church; Chairman of Finance Committee (FUMC); served on the Board of England Citizens Bank; Served on the Advisory Board (England Branch of First Commercial Bank-Little Rock; Served in World War II in the Air Force in the South Pacific. He was a member of the England First United Methodist Church and was active in Church work. Jack enjoyed traveling and sight seeing. He was also active in community work. Services will be graveside at Mulberry Cemetery in England, Arkansas at 3 p.m. on March 3rd, 2013. There will be an open visitation on March 2nd from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Roller England Funeral Home (501) 842-3939. Pastor, Mary Susan Hilliard will be officiating.
