Jimmy Dean McNerlin, Sr., Retired, United States Air Force Master Sgt. of twenty years, went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 1, 2013, at the age of 82 at his home from pancreatic cancer. He was born April 5, 1930 in Booneville, Ark. to the late Toney and Lottie McNerlin. He was an identical twin. Mr. McNerlin was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Luther Dale McNerlin. Mr. McNerlin was a 50-year member of First Baptist Church in Cabot. He was very active, serving as an usher for many years. He was a member of the XYZ and loved his brothers and sisters in Christ so much. He leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years, Earlene McNerlin of the home; three sons, Jimmy Dean McNerlin, Jr. and his wife Teresa of Orlando, Fla., Michael McNerlin and his wife Shawn of Little Rock, Greg McNerlin and his wife Cindy of Jacksonville, 12 beautiful grandchildren who were his pride and joy; one great-grandchild, three brothers; Gene McNerlin of Bull Head City, Ariz., Don McNerlin of Atascadero, Calif., James H. McNerlin of Austin, and one sister, Vera Pleasant of Terry, Miss. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Cabot with Bro. Dick Avey officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.
