Vivian Violet McIntosh

Vivian Violet McIntosh, age 86, of Hot Springs, Ark., went to be with her Lord March 2, 2013, at the Garland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Hot Springs, Ark. She was born Feb. 18, 1926 in Campbell, Missouri to the late Thomas and Myrtle Williams Horton. In 1944, Vivian was united in marriage to Owen C. McIntosh in Campbell, Mo., where they raised their five children and she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Vivian's greatest love was her family. She enjoyed hosting family get-togethers, writing poetry and gifting her talent to family and friends. After raising her children, she became a licensed cosmetologist enjoying many years of helping people be their best. She always found the good in everyone and people naturally gravitated to her for words of wisdom and her cheerful heart. Loving survivors include three sons: Gary McIntosh and wife Barbara of Sneads, Fla.; Ronnie McIntosh and wife Diane of Wappapello, Mo.; Clay McIntosh of Arkadelphia, Ark. and two daughters, Angela Anthony and husband Garland of Hot Springs, Ark. and Janie Brinkley and husband Guy of Piggott, Ark. Grandchildren: Suzette Reeves, Billy McIntosh, Gary McIntosh, Jr., Greg McIntosh, Brad McIntosh, Sheila McIntosh Davis, Marcia McIntosh, Rusty Ort and Wayne McIntosh. Great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren include: Brooks Looney and Taylor Golden; Allison, Eric, Matthew & Isaiah McIntosh; Colton McIntosh; Brooke McIntosh; Brad McIntosh, Jr.; Tyler McIntosh; Meaggan and Abigail McIntosh; Bowen and Jolie Melancon; Amanda and Jake Ort and Tia Davis. Special thanks to The Garland Nursing Rehabilitation Center for the care, loving attention and friendship to Vivian during her stay, and Dierkson Hospice for their comfort, support and dedication. Visitation and graveside service will be March 4, 2013 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. The family will receive guests from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. then travel to Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arkadelphia, Ark.
