Jerry Lynn Crowly

Jerry Lynn Crowly, 81, of Fort Smith, Ark., passed away at Sparks Regional Medical Center, Fort Smith, Ark., on Friday, March 1, 2013, after a brief illness. Jerry was born on Oct. 13, 1931, in Hazen, Ark., to Alfred L. Crowly and Inez (Vick) Crowly. Jerry was raised in Brinkley, Ark., graduating from Brinkley High School in 1948. He attended the College of the Ozarks, in Clarksville, Ark. He served in the U.S. Navy for three years, then attended the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He graduated in 1957, with a degree in business management. Jerry was employed by several industrial firms as a sales representative, later operating a business brokerage firm in Fort Smith, Ark. Jerry is survived by a son, Michael S. Crowly, his spouse, Angela M. Crowly, and granddaughter, Julia, all of Montreal, Quebec, Canada; grandson, Christopher D. Roblee, of San Francisco, Calif.; grandson, Nicholas Hensler; and granddaughter, Caitlin Hensler of Oklahoma City, Okla. A daughter, Laurie K. Crowly Hensler preceded Jerry in death. He is also survived by a sister, Patricia Crowly Sorrells, and her spouse, Lew E. Sorrells, of Conway, Ark., along with their two daughters and grandchildren. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 504 North D. St., Fort Smith, Ark., 72901. The Lewis Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith, Ark., is assisting the family with arrangements.
