Roy Bucky Jones

Roy Bruce "Bucky" Jones Jr., age 61, of Morrilton, Ark. went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2013. He was born May 2, 1951 in Morrilton. He is survived by his father, Roy Bruce (Chris) Jones Sr.; his wife, Paulette Paladino Stobaugh Jones; daughter, Melissa Jones (Blake) Quast of Maumelle; Brandi Stobaugh (Kylan) Cooper of Kenwood; Bart (Ashley) Stobaugh, Kyle (Sarah) Stobaugh both of Morrilton; Candice Stobaugh of Fayetteville; sister, Brenda (Kenneth) Brixey of Adair, Okla.; grandchildren, Paige and Dallas Quast, Karlee and Kambree Cooper, Carter and Bentley Stobaugh, August, Eliza and Scout Stobaugh; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws. He was preceded in death by his mother Frances (Yarbrough) Jones, brother Ervon Jones, and sister Cynthia Jones. Bucky graduated from Morrilton High School in 1969, he attended Arkansas Tech University, and retired from Green Bay Packaging after 39 years of service. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morrilton, served on the Sacred Heart School Board, and was an active booster of Sacred Heart Catholic School. He enjoyed playing for the Classic Shoppe softball team, playing golf, watching sports, reading, traveling, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He received the Strathmore's Who's Who award in 2010, which was presented to individuals who had demonstrated leadership and achievement in their occupation, industry or profession. The family would like to thank the St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center staff and physicians for the tremendous amount of care they provided during his difficult, but courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morrilton with Father Jack Harris and Father Shaun Wesley officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
