Nancy Cherryl "Cherry" Nelson, 73, departed this life on March 9, 2013, surrounded by her family and her loving caregivers. Cherry loved to dance, adored Elvis, and refused to miss work. She was known for her meticulous attention to detail, spending hours making potholders for her family and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She had "mighty talents". She was preceded in death by her grandparents of Cleburne County, Gordon and Nannie Riddle, and Ida Mae Turney; parents, Kenneth and Elizabeth Riddle Nelson, her sister, Patricia Moneyhon; and cousin, Nancy Riddle. She is survived by her nieces, Karen Adney and Anna-Marie Walloch; great-nephews, Desi Walloch and Nick Adney; great-niece, Kirsten Rose; and great great niece, Rylea; Brother-in-law, Carl Moneyhon; cousins, Beth Hartness and Sue Scivally. A memorial gathering will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Profiles Enrichment Center, 615 East Robins, Conway, Arkansas, 72032. A private burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 at Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana. The family would like to thank the staff of Independent Living Services for many years of loving service to Cherry. Special thanks to Renee Rains, Margaret Johnson, Carlila Embry, Lisa Woods, Ashley Grassi, Reba Jones, Alicia Queen, Jeanie Rains, Debbie Jackson, Laura Ealy, Mona Koonce, LaShanta McCray, and Clara Anderson for your kindness and support in her final hours.
