Mr. David Ehrhardt, 53, of Hope, Arkansas passed away Thursday, March 13, 2013 in Texarkana, Texas. David was born December 23, 1959 in Fort Hood, Texas to Robert E. and Claudette Ehrhardt, Sr. Mr. Ehrhardt was a teacher for the Hope Public Schools, a member and deacon of Unity Baptist Church and graduate of SAU Magnolia. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. David is survived by his wife, Penny Smith Ehrhardt of Hope, Arkansas; two daughters, Melissa A. Ehrhardt of Hope, Arkansas and Mary C. Langley and husband Jeremy of Magnolia, Arkansas; one brother, Robert E. Ehrhardt Jr. and wife Carrie of Montesano, Washington; one sister, Mary Ehrhardt Lassiter of Richardson, Texas; two grandchildren, Alana Ehrhardt and Truitt Langley; mother and father-in-law, Fred and Mary Smith of Magnolia, Arkansas. Visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2013 at Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home between the hours of 6-8 p.m. Services will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013 in the Unity Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Bro. Glen Tropp and Bro. Jay Pollan officiating. Interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Unity Baptist Church Benevolent Fund at 420 South Hervey, Hope, Ark. 71801 or to The American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123-1718.
