Mrs. Rosetta Delois Jackson Bowden, 77, a retired Bienville Parish School System educator/librarian, of Grambling, La., formerly of Little Rock, Ark., passed on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at the Grace Home in Shreveport. Homegoing Celebration Services were held Monday, March 4, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the New Rocky Valley Baptist Church in Grambling, with Reverend Julius Sumler, officiating. The committal services immediately followed in the Grambling Memorial Gardens of Grambling. She will forever be missed but the memories of our Rose will forever be cherished by her five children, Edgar R. Bowden Jr. (Catherine) of Shreveport, La.; Rondal D. Bowden Sr. (Janie) of Grambling, La.; Vivian Dianna Bowden- Sutton (Donnie) of Little Rock, Ark.; Frederick Wayne Bowden (JoAnn) of Grambling, La.; and Sarah Lynn Mason of Ruston, La.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, LaRuth Wilson of Jackson, Miss. and Florese Hunt of Shreveport; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
