William Willett

William Minor Willett, 92, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013. He was born July 3, 1920 in El Dorado, son of William and Mattie Oliver Willett. Mr. Willett was reared and received his early education in Smackover. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Willett worked for Arkansas Power and Light as a lineman and construction foreman. He was a member of South Pinewood Baptist Church. Mr. Willett was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Louise Helen Farmer Willett, whom he married August 31, 1945 in Union County; two sons, Danny Willett of Atlanta, Georgia and Gary Willett of Perryville, Arkansas; sister, Marie Love of Pine Bluff; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson with Reverend James Watson officiating. Burial will be private.
