Jerry Uptigrove

Jerry Uptigrove, 68, of Alexander died March 20th, 2013. He was born in Fountain Hill, Arkansas on February 11, 1945. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. Jerry was a devoted husband and father. He retired from Pitney Bowes after 39 years of service. Jerry was an avid deer hunter and loved the outdoors. He treasured the time he spent with his family. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Loree; two brothers, Aubrey and Thomas and two sisters, Ruby Watkins and Geverne Johnson. Jerry is survived by his wife of over 41 years, Sue; two daughters, Amber and Donna; five brothers, Ernest (Myrtle) of Bastrop, La, Rodney (Lea) of Sour Lake, Texas, Bobby of Scranton, Donnie of Forrest City, Jimmy (Judy) of Mabelvale; one sister, Mary (Gary) Saunders of Hermitage; a sister-in-law, Linda Uptigrove of Mabelvale and host of nieces, nephews and extended family, all who will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home with burial to follow in Butler Cemetery.
