Jimmy Joe Dempsey, 56, of North Little Rock, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Jimmy was born September 4, 1956 in Little Rock, Ark. to Jimmy Lee Dempsey and the late Linda Ruth (Taylor) Dempsey. Jimmy was a loving father and grandfather He enjoyed weekends at the lake with his family and tinkering on small engines. He is survived by his father, Jimmy Lee Dempsey of Little Rock; daughter, Mandy Gentry (Ricky) of Beebe; son, Jimmy Dempsey (Chris) of Little Rock; former spouse, Renata Gail Evans of Lonoke; siblings, Susie Singletary and Cindy Yancey, both of North Little Rock and Johnny Dempsey of Little Rock; and grandchildren, Brittany Gentry and Jasmine Dempsey. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 W. Main St., Jacksonville. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the funeral home, followed by burial at Mt. Springs Cemetery, Cabot.
