Gregg Tarvin Greer, 53, of North Little Rock passed away at his home on March 24, 2013. He was born December 31, 1959 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Gregg was predeceased by his grandparents, William Robert and Lois Greer and Joe and Opal Tarvin. He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Anne Greer, of Little Rock; mother, Nell Rose Zarro, of Somerset, New Jersey; father and stepmother, William Russell and Pat Greer of Branson, Missouri; brother, Steve Greer (Kenna) of Cabot; sisters, Cari Murphy (Jay) of Hillsborough, New Jersey, Jamie Calbert (Kevin), of Chandler, Arizona, Jenny Greer, of Tempe, Arizona and Julianne Greer, of Branson, Missouri; his precious nieces, nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. In his early years, Gregg lived with his family in New Jersey and had wonderful memories of his childhood there. Gregg was a longtime resident of North Little Rock. He graduated from Ole Main High School and worked as a carpenter for many years, building beautiful decks and gazebos. He loved motorcross racing, camping and traveling. Gregg's pride and joy was his daughter, Katie. He loved watching her perform and often bragged about her accomplishments. The family would like to express their love and appreciation to the Hospice caregivers, who took such good care of Gregg during his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UALR Foundation/Dance Department, 2801 South University, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204, c/o Jay Raphael. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home.
