Lewis E. Sewell

LEWIS E. SEWELL, 80, of Mabelvale, Ark., passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013. He was born in Texarkana, Ark. He was the son of the late E.C. and Bernice Sewell. He was a US Navy veteran, a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed his family, cooking, gardening and spending time outdoors. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patsy Haley Sewell; children, Jerry Sewell (Evelyn), Kathy Whisenhunt (Gene), Marcy Hodges (Keith), Scott Sewell (Vicki); grandchildren, Jessica McGiveron (Paul), Christa Byrne, Haley Whisenhunt, Mary Harrell (Bubby), Jared Whisenhunt, Ryan Hodges (Taylor), Beth Hodges, Aaron Hodges, Anna Hodges, Emma Hodges, Jenna Hodges, Lindsey Raney (Michael), Katie Hoggard (Bryce), Justin Sewell; and five great-grandchildren; brother, Don Sewell (Elaine). Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25 at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26 at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at East Memorial Gardens, Texarkana, Ark.
