Katherine Louise Mercer

Katherine Louise Mercer, 64, of Damascus, Arkansas died Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Ozark Health Medical Center. She was born December 13, 1948 in Damascus, Arkansas the daughter of the late Blass and Juanita (Burrough) Holland. She was a Factory Worker and of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Freddy Ray Mercer, and her brother, Donald W. Holland. She is survived by her children, Renea McConnell of Vilonia; James Ray Valentine of Damascus; and Tracy Hazlewood of Quitman; three sisters, Paulette Freeman of Quitman; Mildred Young of Michigan; and Judy Brown of Michigan; stepmother, Fern Holland of Michigan; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many dear friends she cherished and loved dearly. Just to name a few, Debbie Finholm, Gennie Finholm, Darlene Duncan, Betty Henry, and so many more. Pallbearers: Trey Jackson, Mark Hazlewood, Cody McKenzie, Travis Holland, Chad Freeman, and Keith Freeman. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Sardis Freewill Baptist Church Damascus, Arkansas with Pastor Gary Burdin officiating.
