Ora Lea Permenter, 87, of Quitman passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013. She was born June 12, 1926, to the late George Lee Spradlin and Elmer (Starr) Spradlin in Mt. Vernon, Ark. She is survived by her husband Owen Permenter of Quitman whom she married October 13, 1945, son and his wife, Gary and Pat Permenter of Quitman; granddaughter and her husband, Dena and Jarrod DeValle of Greenbrier, grandson and his wife, Michael and Julie Permenter of Greenbrier, great-grandchildren, Luke Permenter, Bonnie Permenter, Nicholas DeValle. She was preceded in death by her parents and her four siblings, Alice Nooner, Myrtle Wallace, Arlis Spradlin, Wilma Lane. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2013, in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier with her grandson Michael Permenter officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
