Robert "Bob" Lee McKee, Sr., passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013, after a battle with cancer. Robert was born in Camden, Arkansas, October 16, 1932, and was raised on a rural farm by his grandparents. Robert was a Veteran of The Korean War where he was a flight engineer on the B-29 "Command Decision." He worked for many years as an estimator in the construction industry in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth Metroplex. After retiring, Robert relocated to Rockport, Texas, where, when not traveling to visit family together, Robert and Hazel enjoyed watching the wildlife outside their home. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Honey McKee of Rockport, sister, Shirley Kennedy of Kelso, Washington; seven children: Debbie Richardson, Lisa Jones, Lori Kendall, Tracy Tillett, Lyndy McKee, and Robert Lee McKee, Jr. and stepson, Dan (Kensey) Honey; also, 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many close friends. The family would like to thank the Turner family for their friendship and care, and the staff at Angel Bright Hospice in Corpus Christi for their treatment of our husband and father. A visitation will 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at Robinson's. The graveside service will be Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at 4 p.m. in Graceland Cemetery, Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
