John Mitchell McNeely 57, of McGehee passed away and went to be with the Lord on October 6, 2013. He was born August 7, 1956 in Dermott, Ark. to George Earl and Mary Ann McNeely. He lived in McGehee his whole life and was a member of First Baptist Church of McGehee. John loved his wife, children, family, dogs and hunting. He devoted his life to helping others. John worked as an engineer for Union Pacific Railroad for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his father George Earl McNeely. His survivors include: his wife Phyllis McNeely of McGehee, his mother Mary Ann McNeely of McGehee; two daughters and son in law, Carole and Justin Pamplin of Boydell, Ark.; Krystal McNeely of Little Rock, Ark.; a stepson and daughter-in-law. Heath and Amy Bennett of White Hall, Ark.; two step daughters and a son in law, Heather and Kale Icenhower of Benton, La. and Holly Bennett of McGehee, Ark., two brothers: David Earl and Becky McNeely of McGehee, Ark.; James Allen and Lana McNeely of Magnolia, Texas; eight grandchildren: Jacob Pamplin, Aubrey, Thomas and Dawson Bennett, Mazie and Bo Bennett, Gracie and Mary Reed and Adalyn Icenhower and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2013 with Dr. Ed Balducci officiating.
