Richard Calvin Hartin

Richard Calvin Hartin, 80, of White Hall, Arkansas, died Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born February 6, 1933, in Jonesboro, to Robert Roscoe and Ruth Ann Bohrer Hartin. Mr. Hartin attended Arkansas State High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. While in the Navy he served aboard the USS Cape Esperance and the USS General Mann. He moved to the White Hall/Hardin Community area in 1966. He had worked for the Cotton Belt Railroad for 31 years before retiring as a conductor in 1995. Mr. Hartin was a member of First Assembly Of God in North Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Jack and Virgil Hartin and a sister, Betty Hartin. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Cloinger Hartin, whom he married on June 17, 1955, in Flint, Mich.; sons, Wayne Hartin (Denise) of White Hall, John Hartin (Kim) of Pine Bluff, Brad Hartin (Becky) of North Little Rock; daughter, Cathy Weaver (Mark) of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Robinson's. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, October 10, 2013, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son.
