Estie Hill Legg

Estie Hill Legg, age 92 of Collins passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, Ark. Born August 3, 1921, in Bybee, TN, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Brown and Carrie Hill. She was the widow of Ted Legg, a homemaker and a member of the Collins Baptist Church. Mrs. Legg was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker who loved to cook, garden and take care of her family. She was a very loving lady always giving of herself unselfishly. She was also preceded in death by a son, Rufus Legg, one granddaughter, Charity Legg, one great-grandson, Tyler Fox and a brother, Doc Hill. Survivors include six sons, Eldridge Brown and wife, Mary of Midway, Ark., Charles Legg and wife, Irene of Cornersville, Bobby Legg and wife, Chris of Mission Viegho, Calif., John Legg and wife, Sandra of Bastrop, La., Gary Legg and wife, Charlotte of Vicksburg, MS and Jimmy Don Legg of Collins; two daughters, Truby Fletcher and husband, Jimmy of Collins and Teresa Cheramie and husband, George of Monticello; 36 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren; and many other relative and friends. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Collins Baptist Church by Rev. Jim Bates. Burial will be in the Collins Cemetery by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M.
