Estle Elvin Taylor, age 81, of Austin went to be with his Lord on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013. He was born July 7, 1932 in McCrory, Ark. to the late William Clarence and Etta Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Coy A. Taylor, Jesse Baker, two sisters, Elsie Marie Eddy and Mary Sue Baker. Mr. Taylor was a United States Army veteran and served during the Korean War, he was also a talented, self taught, mandolin player who enjoyed playing bluegrass. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Erna May Reed Taylor, two sons, Carl Taylor and his wife Judy of Jacksonville, Kevin Taylor of Austin, one daughter Gayle Pipkin of Austin, two grandsons, Todd Taylor and his wife Ashley of Sherwood, Austin Taylor of Jacksonville, one granddaughter Breanna Pipkin of Austin, one great-granddaughter, Aubrey Taylor of Sherwood, four brothers, Grady Taylor and his wife Hilda, James Taylor and his wife Norma both of Beebe, Doyce Baker and his wife Loretta of Ingalls, Ind., Jerry Baker of Heber Springs, one sister Wanda Baker of Indianapolis, Ind. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013 at Cabot Apostolic Church with Reverend D.C. Moody and Reverend Tom LaFave officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot. The family wishes to thank Arkansas Hospice as well as all of the prayers from family and friends.
