Daniel B. McCallum

Daniel B. McCallum, 69, of Maumelle, passed away on October 13, 2013. He was born in Winnfield, LA to the late Archibald and Katie McCallum. He was a member of Indian Hills Church. After receiving his PH.D in Statistics at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Dr. McCallum taught Math and Statistics at UALR for 40 years before retiring in 2011. He was very close to his family and very much loved by them. He greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Daniel is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anita Susan McCallum; his son, Andrew Ian McCallum; and five brothers and sisters, from eldest to youngest: David McCallum, Janet German, Ellen Roberts, Paul McCallum and Brian McCallum. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 15 at 10 a.m. at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 Main St, Jacksonville, Ark. 501-982-3400. There will be a one-hour visitation prior to the service.
