Maxine Clodell Cook Warlick, 91, of Little Rock passed away on October 1, 2013. She is survived by her son, James and Twylia Warlick; daughter, Dell and Gary Perritt; four grandchildren, Jama Godbee (Chad), Gray Warlick, Shawn Perritt and Paige Perritt; seven great-grandchildren, Avery, Jordan, Brock, and Blane Godbee; Hailey, Cecily and Morgan Perritt and their mother, Lynne Bryant Perritt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Winston Farmer Cook; and her husband, Theo Warlick. Mrs. Warlick was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher and homemaker. She was a pianist and an artist who was well known for her beautiful landscapes, portraits and china painting. She was also a wonderful seamstress and cook. Mrs. Warlick attended Henderson State Teachers College and Ouachita Baptist University, majoring in elementary education. She always loved school and excelled in her studies. In her early years, she taught school at Norman and Sheridan. She later worked at Allied Telephone Company in Pine Bluff and Crossett. Mrs. Warlick was a member of First Baptist Church of Batesville, where she taught Sunday school for many years and served in several other capacities. She was a precious, Godly woman who will be greatly missed by her family and those who had the privilege to know her. The family would like to thank Briarwood Nursing & Rehab for the love and care shown to Mrs. Warlick during the past eight years while she was a resident there. A special thanks also to Arkansas Hospice for special care during her last days. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 18, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville, with Pastor Stacy Reed and Billy Cox officiating. A celebration of life reception/memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, at North Little Rock Funeral Home with Eddie Airheart officiating.
