Betty Pyper

Betty Pyper, 84, of Hot Springs died on October 14, 2013 at Mercy Hospital. She was born August 1, 1929 in Blaenavon, S. Wales to Father Frederick Hughes, a Coal Miner and wife Alice. She was a loving sister to Daisy, Violet, Doreen, Arthur, Edward, Mevin, and only living kin Howard, aged 75 years who has wife Elaine, daughters, Sally and Meryl, husbands Dennis and Neil with daughters, Rhian and Cerys. Her first husband was Johnny Jackson, she met in Wales where they married and returned to America where he died after 41 yrs. He had a previous son Robert Jackson with family Karen Halley, Bobby and John. She later married Walter Pyper for 9 yrs when he died. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints and expressed her faith to her family in Wales. She is now with the Lord who inspired and strengthened her. Visitation will be at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, 306 S. Main, Benton, Ark. on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Funeral service is Friday, October 18, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Hot Springs Ward Meeting House at 2765 Malvern Road in Hot Springs, Ark. with burial at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
