Doug Davis, 51, of Conway, went to be with his Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013.He was born on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 1962 in El Dorado, Ark. to Jim R. Davis and Gloria (Pyle) Wisdom. Doug was a good father, faithful and loyal husband, who was strong, independent, loved the Lord, and cared for his family. He was hard-working and bullet proof. A great son-in-law and brother-in-law, who was more of a son and brother to us. Known as a handy-man, who could fix anything. He was an outdoors man, who wasn't much of a shot, but loved it all the same. If you needed it, he'd gladly give you the shirt off his back. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tell stories. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Paula (Johnson) Davis; sons, Jeremy Davis and Jordan Davis; father, Jim Davis and wife, Dean Davis; mother, Gloria (Pyle) Wisdom; brother, Don Davis and wife Sandra; step-sister, April Ashworth; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Drake Everett Walker; and a step-sister, Charity Humphrey. Services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 at Life Line Baptist Church, Baseline Road, Little Rock with Reverend Jeff Dial officiating. Committal Service will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway.
