Robert A Magee

Robert A. (Bob) Magee, Sr. of Carlisle, went to be with his heavenly father the Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 17, 2013. He was born on August 20, 1938 to Joe and Thelma Magee. He was preceded in death by his father, his mother and stepfather – Howard Deal; brother – Melton Magee; daughter-in-law, Carol Magee; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Mary Armstrong. Bob was a faithful and loving husband to his wife Neola for 56 years, deeply loving father to his children, Joe Magee of Carlisle, Bob Magee Jr. (Thanh) of Houston, Texas, Carlene (James) Rhodes of Carlisle. He was a devoted grandfather to Brandy (Kevin) Swaim, Daniel Magee, Eric Cole (fiance-Sheena Donnell) all of Carlisle, Bobby Magee III and Jonny Magee of Houston, Texas. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren – Noah Swaim, Logan, Brooklyn, Daniel Magee and Blake Donnell all of Carlisle; two sisters – Mary Johnson of Montana and Carolyn Snider of Oklahoma; special friends Carlton and Sarah Finch of Vilonia and many extended family and friends. Bob was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from Falcon Jet. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Carlisle. He loved to fish and camp, the outdoors, aircraft and mini tractor pulling. He touched the lives of many people and will be deeply missed by all. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 24 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church in Carlisle. We want to thank the Patriot Guard Riders of Arkansas for escorting the family.
