Bonnie Godwin Sams

Bonnie Sams, 88, of Prescott, Ark., passed away October 20, 2013 in Prescott, Ark. Mrs. Sams was born October 22, 1924 in St. Cloud, Fla. to Leon E. and Camilla Partin Godwin. Mrs. Sams was a housewife, of the Baptist faith, she was a manager of the Fashion Shop in Gurdon, Ark. and owner of the Wolves' Drive Inn in Prescott. Mrs. Sams was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 25 years, one brother, Robert Godwin, and one son. Survivors include a daughter Bonnie Lee DeBoser of Jacksonville, Ark., two sisters: Katherine Koger of Prescott, Ark. and Ruth Perry of Texarkana, Texas; grandchildren: William Miller of Florida, Ralph Miller and Camilla Sandy of Ward, Ark.; great-grandchildren Brandon, Kyle, Lila and Madison all of Ward, Ark. and many great nieces/nephews and a host of friends. Visitation for Mrs. Sams will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Pharr Funeral Home in Prescott. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Pharr Funeral Home in Prescott, with Bro. Neal Ridling officiating and interment to follow in DeAnn Cemetery Prescott, Ark.
