A Celebration of Life for Ronald "Ron" Roy McDonald of Cotter, Arkansas, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2013, at East Side Baptist Church, with Darrell DeBoard officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be from 1 p.m. until time of service, at the church. Ron passed away October 20, 2013, in Cotter, Arkansas, at the age of 68. He was born May 10, 1945, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Roy and Guindolyn Wood McDonald. He served as President and Vice-Chairman of Republic Parking Systems. Ron retired to Cotter from Chattanooga, Tenn. in 2008. He attended East Side Baptist Church. He enjoyed golf, hunting, shooting, and spending time with friends. His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren on whom he doted. Ron is survived by his wife of 32 years, Judy Ray McDonald of Cotter, Ark.; two daughters, Karen (Cliff) Vaughn of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Kristy (Bennett) Grimm of Atlanta, Ga.; three sons, Kevin (Julie) McDonald of Craig, Alaska, Tom (Galena) Morrow of Bentonville, Ark., and Mark Morrow of Benton, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Kylie, Cassidy, Georgia, Fiona, Ryan, Scott, Ashlyn, Natalie, and Kristen; sister, Bobbie (Doyle) Bennett of Dewitt, Ark., and brother, John (Sara) McDonald of Hot Springs, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents.
