Vera Baird Crow, age 94, died of natural causes and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday Oct 22, 2013. Vera was born on September 15, 1919 in Climbing Hill, Iowa to Mildred and Karl Baird and attended Climbing Hill, Holly Springs and Luton high schools where she graduated with honors and at age 16. She was working at the local drug store in Sioux City, Iowa when she met her future husband, Raymond Dee Crow of Little Rock. They traveled all over the US selling magazines. Vera and Ray had four children while living in Jacksonville and Little Rock. Over the years she worked for Sears Roebuck, Pfeifer-Blass, Dillard's and Pruitt Shoes. She was a faithful member for the past 42 years of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was the loving wife, mother and the breadwinner of the family after Ray's devastating auto accident in 1961, which left him unable to work. Mom, will be remembered for her unconditional love and grace shown to each of her children, grand and great grandchildren. She raised her children to love the Lord and encouraged all of us by her faithfulness to Him. She is survived by her children, Sandra Tullier of Stuart, Florida, Linda DuBose of Euless, Texas, David Crow (Janet) of Conway and Paul Crow (Kim) of Sherwood; grandchildren, Shannon, Alicia, Angela, Mistye, Zachary, Laura, Kristen, Nathan, Rachel, Madeleine, Danielle, and David and 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, parents, Karl and Mildred Baird and brothers Theodore, Wayland (Dub) and Sister, Verla Scheibe, of Sioux City, Iowa. Visitation will be at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock (501) 224-8300 Friday, October 25, 2013 from 5–7 p.m. The family will have private graveside service on Saturday.
