DANNY EUGENE WILDMAN passed from this life on Oct. 23, 2013 surrounded by friends and family. He was born Dec. 13, 1949 in Corinth, Miss. to Mae Dean (Taylor) Wildman and James Lorenzo Wildman. Danny grew up on a farm as an only child with his parents and the best ma-maw ever, Bertha Mae Taylor. The family later moved to Decatur, Ala., where he graduated from Decatur High. He attended the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa and graduated with an M.A. in English. After leaving Tuscaloosa, Danny moved to Memphis, Tenn., working first for his dad at a Greenhouse and then as a sound engineer and film editor at the Center for Southern Folklore. He later became a successful life insurance agent for Life of Georgia and had worked 30 years in this field before he became ill. After being transferred several times for business, the family settled in Little Rock, Ark., where he lived the last 23 years of his life. Danny loved watching and playing sports and was an avid golfer. His love of music began in his hippie days when he taught himself the guitar and played in several bands. His interest in writing led him to the website Everything2.com where he wrote for many years under the name Dannye. He leaves behind his wife, May Anne (Ouellette) Wildman and their only child, Sarah O. Wildman. He loved both as much as a man can love a family. He is preceded in death by his mother, both born and raised in Mississippi. A Memorial Service in his honor will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Little Rock on Nov. 2, 2013 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Fisher House Foundation, http://www.fisherhouse.org/ To sign his guestbook, please visit www.arkansasfuneralcare.com. Arrangements made by Arkansas Funeral Care, Jacksonville.
