Edna Earle Crook died in Huntsville, Alabama on October 23rd, 2013 at the age of 91. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Earlene (Crook) Pigue, her husband Col. (Retired) Larry Pigue and granddaughter, Tammy Brannen all of Huntsville, Alabama; grandson, Keith Crook and granddaughter, ReNae Getson of Paragould, Arkansas; and granddaughters, Cathey Botwright of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Kristie Hunter, Amanda Mizell, and grandson, Jon Carder all of Star City and granddaughter, Sandra Morgan of Kentucky; 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Travis Crook, son, Jerry Keith Crook, two brothers, one sister and great-granddaughter, Melissa Brannen, preceded her in death. Edna was born on May 21st, 1922 in New Hope to Carl and Devena Halley, now deceased, lived there until she moved to Strong, Arkansas in the 1960s. She moved back to Monticello in 1988. In her later years, she was a resident in The Guest House before moving to Star City where she resided in Lincoln Heights Nursing Home until October 8th, 2013 when she relocated to Huntsville, Alabama, to be near her daughter. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at Northside Baptist Church on Friday, November 1st at 10 a.m. with burial at Union Ridge Cemetery.
