Louis Orlando Sanfor Sr., 84, died Monday, October 28, 2013. Born in Little Rock to the late Emile F. and Margueritte Tickle Sanford, he was a principal and coach for the Bald Knob School District and attended Central Baptist Church in Bald Knob and Bald Knob Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Jeanette "Mac" McDaniel Sanford; his daughter, Stacy Sanford Harrell and his granddaughter, India Harrell Corley. He is survived by wife, Barbara "Bobbie" Burns Sanford of Bald Knob; daughters, Rhonda Sanford Roberts of Bald Knob and Sandy Sanford of Cabot; a son, Louis Orlando "Skip" Sanford, Jr. of Little Rock; three stepchildren, Michael Vinson, Mary Beth Newton and David Vinson of Texas; 11 grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. A veteran of the U.S. Army who served two years, Sanford was a graduate of Southern Arkansas University where he was inducted into the university's Sports Hall of Fame in 2007. A memorial service will be held at the Central Baptist Church in Bald Knob at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013 with Bro. Paul Reams and Rev. Treva Mills officiating. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
