James Patterson Young

James Patterson (Pat) Young, 61, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, James Arthur Young. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Nancy (Nute) Young, step-son Billy J. Smith of Calion, mother Helen Young of North Little Rock and his half brother Charles Michael Young of Hot Springs. He graduated from NLR High in 1970 and received his bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern History from the American Institute of Holy Land Studies. Pat was the owner of the Log Home Resource Center and was well known and respected in the log home industry. He was an Eagle Scout and founder of Troop 776 in Sherwood. He was a supporter of the Rollin' Razorback Wheel Chair Basketball team and was an inspiration to all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home from 6-8: pm on Thursday, October 31st with a graveside service on Friday, November 1st at 9 a.m. at Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock, Ark. (501) 835-3515. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Pat's name to the Rollin' Razorback Wheel Chair Basketball team.
