Preston Barney Brown

Lt. Col. (Retired) Preston Barney Brown, born 31 July, 1959 at Cambridgeshire, England, passed away 25 October, 2013 in Little Rock, Ark. He was a loving son, brother and uncle. He is survived by his mother and father, Maureen & J.P. Brown of Cabot, his sisters, Maureen Hall of Round Rock, Texas, Grace Carmichael of Decature, Ala., Jane Brown of Cabot, Paula Price and Amy Brown of Jacksonville as well as eleven nieces and nephews. He served in the Air National Guard from 1982 until May 2011. He served with the 123rd Recon Tech Squad, LRAFB, Ark. until he was called to active duty 3 October, 1992. He completed Squadron Officers School at Maxwell AFB, Ala. and the U.S. Marine Corps Command and Staff College with a degree of Master of Military Studies at Quantico, Va. He was an Eagle Scout and a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow. A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 31st with visitation following from 7-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, NLR, Ark. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 1st at the funeral home chapel.
