JOSEPH THOMAS SAVARY, 90, of Little Rock, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013. He was born in Little Rock to the late Joseph D. and Louise (Hart) Savary. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Bernadine (Kenney) Savary and two brothers, Robert and George Savary. Mr. Savary was retired from Union Pacific Railroad and was a Marine veteran of World War II and Korea. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Souls Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus, a member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion, and Holy Souls Men's Club. His hobby was making rosaries for Holy Souls School and foreign missions. Mr. Savary is survived by three children, Suzanne Savary, Dana Remsing (Steve), and Jo Ann Grace; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Maxwell. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Church with Father Thomas Marks as celebrant. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
