JOANN MARIE CHEUVRONT, 84, passed away on Aug. 31, 2013. She was born May 21, 1929 and was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan Fay and Hazel Edson; a brother, Marvin Edson; a young son, Bruce; and granddaughter, Danaea. JoAnn is survived by her husband of 63 years, Maynard; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Teresa of Eugene, Ore., Roger and Terrie of Little Rock; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and David Woolard of Winston-Salem, N.C.; five grandchildren and their spouses; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Margaret Edson of Beloit, Kan., and numerous nieces and nephews. JoAnn was raised in Lincoln, Neb. where she met Maynard in junior high and their friendship developed while active in their church high school youth group. They began their married life in Lincoln. JoAnn worked at the Elgin Watch Company to put Maynard through the University of Nebraska, and then devoted her time and love to her family as a full time homemaker. Maynard's job took the family around the country and JoAnn was there by his side, raising the children, creating a comfortable inviting home for family and friends wherever they lived. JoAnn's solid faith in Christ was an example for her family. JoAnn and Maynard were active members in Christian Churches in Missouri, Illinois, Utah, and Arizona before their move in 2004 to Little Rock, where they are members of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. The church was their life and their circle of friends. Throughout her life JoAnn enjoyed entertaining, playing bridge and other games, crafts, camping in the motor home, and most especially her family. She will be remembered and missed by her family and many friends. A memorial service followed by a time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 72211 (501)224-8300.
