Donald Ray Sweetin

Donald Ray Sweetin, age 80, of Tichnor died September 4, 2013. He was born November 7, l933 in Tichnor to Raymond Sweetin, Sr. and Elsie Mildred Rowland Sweetin Greenhill who preceded him in death along with a son, Donald Wade Sweetin and step-father, Leroy Greenhill. He was a farmer, served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, life time member of Tichnor Baptist Church, was an outdoorsman, avid bowhunter and loved to turkey hunt. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Edith Marie Mullen Sweetin, son, Lee Sweetin and wife Tanya of Little Rock, daughter-in-law, Pam Sweetin of Tichnor, brother, Raymond Sweetin Jr., (Veda) of Stuttgart, sister, Sharon Wheatley (Guy) of Texarkana), grandchildren: Bradley Sweetin (Pamela), Hunter Sweetin and fiancé Mallory Dodson, Will Sweetin and Lindsey Sweetin. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Septmeber 6th at First Baptist Church, DeWitt with burial at Bonner's Chapel Cemetery in Tichnor by Essex Funeral Home, DeWitt. Visitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
