Ora Louise Anderson

Ora Louise "Lou" Anderson, 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sept. 14, 2013. Lovingly known as "Mrs. Lou," she faithfully and graciously served her communities of West Helena, Ark., and Olive Branch, Miss., for over 40 years. She was a member of Longview Heights Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Miss., and formerly a member of West Helena Baptist Church in West Helena, Ark. A dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, Lou was known for her amazing cooking and generosity to others. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, and will celebrate her life with a service on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m., both at West Helena Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow in Cave City, Ark., on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Maxwell Cemetery. Preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Annie Moody, and her husband of 45 years, Bob Anderson, Lou is survived by her three sons: Mike (Linda) Anderson, Southaven, Miss.; Scott (Jerri) Anderson, Plano, Texas; Kevin Anderson, Madison, Miss. She also leaves her grandchildren: Landon (Christina) Anderson, Southaven, Miss.; Elizabeth Anderson, Southaven, Miss.; Andrea Anderson, Little Rock, Ark.; Leah Kathryn Anderson, Plano, Texas; Heath Anderson, Little Rock, Ark. Her surviving siblings are Mabel Copeland (Herschel), Pearl River, La.; Maudine King, Cave City, Ark.; Darrell Moody, Grange, Ark.
