Bobby Joe Haralson, age 80 of Jacksonville, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in Little Rock. He was born September 15, 1933 in Adona, Arkansas to the late Price and Mattie May Haralson Sr. Mr. Haralson graduated from Sheridan High School in 1951. He received an Associate Degree in Criminal and Juvenile Justice. On November 26, 1956 he married Norma Jensen in East End. Mr. Haralson served in the US Air Force during the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict. Following his military service, he was employed with UAMS as a Plant Administrator until retiring in 1997. Bobby was preceded in death by a son, Michael Allen Haralson, two brothers, Houston C. Haralson Sr. and Price Haralson Jr. He was a member of the Jacksonville Auxiliary Police, American Society of Hospital Engineers and APPA. He is survived by his wife, Norma Haralson of Jacksonville; two sons, Robert (Kathy) Haralson of North Little Rock and David (Shannon) Haralson of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Julie (Stephen) Moore, Megan (Stevan) Adams, Brittany (Daniel) Tetkoskie and Taylor Grace Haralson; two great grandchildren, Allana Tetkoskie and Zach Galusha; sister, Vernie Hall of Pine Bluff. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2013 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Chapel with Brother Tim Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
