Carl Lee Brown, age 69, of Maumelle, Ark., passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013 at Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on November 8, 1943 in Little Rock to Mr. Johnny Carl Brown and Mrs. Norris Lee Brown. He graduated from Horace Mann High School and attended Philander Smith College. He served in the US Army/Army Reserve for 30 years. Carl was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam conflicts, where he earned two Bronze Stars. Carl was an instructor for the USAR Telephony/Communications. He enjoyed music, travel, reading, aviation and military history. He was preceded in death by his parents. Carl will be remembered by his loving wife; Angelic, two children; Tracy Johnson, Nikita Sanders, four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; special cousins; Aunt Margaret Carpenter, Aunt Pearl (John) Glover, nephew; Vincent (Gwen) Kountz and a host of family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. with Funeral Services following at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th Street Little Rock, Ark. 72204.
