Raydean Winfred Wheeler, age 67, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 at his home. Mr. Wheeler was born April 7, 1946, in Batesville, Ark. and lived in Texarkana for the past 15 years. He was a basketball and track coach for Liberty-Eylau High School and a Baptist. He coached for over forty four years and was a member of the Arkansas High School Coaches Association, Texas Association of Basketball Coaches, and Texas Girls Coaches Association. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Robin Wheeler of Texarkana, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law: Winfred Raydean Jr. and Ashley Wheeler of Batesville, Arkansas, and Joshua and Brittney Wheeler of Bossier City, Louisiana; one daughter, Courtney Nelson of Shreveport, Louisiana; one sister, Lateresa Wheeler of Batesville, Arkansas; six grandchildren: Keaton Wheeler, Connor Wheeler, Baylea Pectol, Jerrit Pectol, Scout Lessley, and Kierra Nelson; one niece, Katie Rader; and a host of friends and other relatives. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Maple Springs Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Rosie, Arkansas with Bro. Curt Howard officiating. Burial will be in Egner Cemetery in Salado, Arkansas under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home, Nash, Texas. The family will receive friends at the Chapelwood Funeral Home, 1015 North Kings Hwy., Nash, Texas 75569, on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 3 p.m. at Maple Springs Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 4225 Newport Rd., Rosie, Arkansas.
