Doin Delain French

Doin Delain French 86, of McGehee, Ark. passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at his home in McGehee. Mr. French was longtime resident of Desha County and retired from farming at the age of 80 years. He loved the outdoors, hunting ducks, deer, and fishing. He was born February 1, 1927 to the late Herman and Noda Aaron French in Rector, Ark. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by a son Jerry Delain French and three brothers; Tony French, James French and Larry French. Mr. French is survived by two sons; Donald French (Connie) of Redfield, Ark. Jason French (Amanda) of McGehee, Ark., four daughters; Shirley Hunter (Kenneth) of Star City, Ark., Kathy Ross (Larry) of Pine Bluff, Ark., Delana Lipford (Aubrey) of McGehee, Ark., Amy Blissett (Larry) of Crossett, Ark., a sister, Willow Dean Wampler of McCrory, Ark., 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at First Baptist Church of McGehee with Dr. Ed Balducci officiating. Burial will follow at McGehee Cemetery.
