Larry Joe (Jody) Trammell

Larry Joe (Jody) Trammell, 51, of New Edinburg, Ark., died Friday, Sept. 28, 2013 peacefully at home. Born Sept. 3, 1962 in Heidelberg, Germany. He was the youngest son of Johnie Leon Trammell, New Edinburg, Ark. and the late Betty Jean Elkins Trammell. Jody was a member of the Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church in New Edinburg and also a cancer survivor. While he was employed in various capacities throughout his life, he truly enjoyed the solitude of operating his road grader. Jody had an incredible sense of humor and a dry wit that kept family and friends quite entertained. He had a generous and loving heart and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him. Jody is survived by his father, Johnie Leon Trammell; two sons, Kris Trammell, Jonesboro, Ark., and Derrek Nichols, Warren, Ark.; one daughter, Brandy Turner, Fordyce, Ark.; one brother, Dale Trammell, New Edinburg, Ark., and two sisters, Paula Beard, Bearden, Ark., and Judy Moring, New Edinburg, Ark.; three grandchildren, Evan Nichols, Sarah Beth Nichols and KyLeigh Turner. He leaves behind a special friend Shari and his beloved canine companion, Mikey. Funeral services 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church.
